Hello,

My name is Nicole and I created this page as part of my Nursing 310 class at Vanguard University of Southern California. I was inspired to do more research and to bring more awareness to the importance of advance directives. I am an RN and noticed that the vast majority of my patients did not know what an advance directive is and they did not have an interest in learning more. The stigma that is attached to the topic of the advance directive is often negative and those who are not terminally ill think that they do not need one. My goal is to educate and inspire those who are in good health and of sound mind to start conversations with their loved ones about their wishes and to complete their advance directives. It is about having a voice, always.
